Savers finally got some good news in this year's budget when Chancellor Alistair Darling announced an increase in the overall ISA allowance from £7,200 to £10,200. The changes will come into effect from 6th October this year for anyone over the age of 50 and from 6th April 2010 for everyone else.
As before, you will be able to invest up to half of your annual allowance into a cash ISA with the balance going into a stocks and shares ISA or alternatively, you can invest the whole amount into a stocks and shares ISA.
If you have any questions regarding these changes, please do not hesitate to contact us here or call us on FREEPHONE 0800 0961111.
