New Cofunds customers

If you haven’t used Cofunds already, you can set up a Cofunds account and invest in funds now. When your application is accepted, Cofunds will send you a contract note with your Cofunds customer number. Then you can register, using your Cofunds customer number, to manage your funds online.

Transfer your existing ISAs

Suppose you want to transfer an existing ISA to a new fund company, e.g. you have an Aberdeen ISA with Aberdeen that you want to transfer to Jupiter. You can use Cofunds so that your new Jupiter funds are held at Cofunds rather than Jupiter.

Next time you want to transfer your ISA to other funds, you simply switch your funds within Cofunds instead of arranging another ISA Transfer.

There are two advantages

1. ISA transfers can take up to 30 days and your investment can be out of the market for some time. Switches can be arranged over 2 days.
2. Switches within Cofunds are arranged with a 0.25% charge, so you could save money too.

ISA transfers are arranged with the same initial discounts (or better) than new investments.

Add your existing funds to Cofunds

You can add your existing funds to Cofunds completely free of charge using a process called re-registration. Free of charge means that you have exactly the same number of units/shares in each fund after they have been re-registered.

This process is sometimes referred to as consolidation and is becoming increasingly popular with investors.

There are two ways to re-register your funds

1. Let us do the work for you. Appoint Elson Associates as your agent and let us know by e-mail or phone that you want to re-register your funds with Cofunds. We will collect all the information we need from your existing fund companies and fill out the Cofunds forms (as much as we can) for you. You can complete Agency Appointment forms here online in a few minutes. Simply print and sign the forms, then post them to us. Alternatively, request us to print the forms and we’ll post them to you to sign.
2. You can complete the Cofunds re-registration forms yourself.

A word of warning: Please note re-registration is a one-way process. Funds cannot be re-registered back to the original fund company.
